About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Merchandising Analyst / Planner to support merchandise planning, inventory management, sales analysis, and business reporting activities. This role plays a critical part in optimizing inventory levels, identifying sales trends, and providing data-driven insights that support business growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, retail planning experience, and advanced reporting skills while thriving in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain weekly and daily sales reports to support business decision-making.
• Design and develop ad-hoc reports required for business and market review meetings.
• Manage inventory levels, forecast sales trends, and develop merchandise plans to optimize stock levels and profitability.
• Monitor e-commerce sales performance and support the execution of seasonal promotions to maximize customer engagement and sales performance.
• Develop business reports that provide insights into key operational and commercial metrics.
• Create dashboards, automated reports, macros, and reporting tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Analyze business performance and identify trends, opportunities, and operational pain points.
• Act as an escalation point to resolve issues and recommend practical solutions to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Statistics, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising, retail planning, allocation, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, including formulas, graphs, charts, pivot tables, and reporting.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other enterprise business intelligence tools will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing business requirements.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently as well as within a team environment.
• Ability to perform effectively within a high-performance, cross-functional environment with aggressive timelines.
• Flexibility to work remotely during US working hours.
