Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager – P&I to handle complex maritime claims and oversee Protection & Indemnity (P&I) operations. This role focuses on managing high-impact shipping incidents, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with global maritime stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of P&I and maritime claims, ensuring timely resolution
• Manage complex incidents including collisions, cargo damage, pollution, and crew-related cases
  
• Interpret surveyor reports and provide expert recommendations
• Liaise with P&I Clubs, lawyers, surveyors, authorities, and medical institutions
  
• Ensure compliance with IG Club guidelines, HSSE standards, and regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders
  
• Support business development initiatives and identify growth opportunities
• Lead and mentor team members, ensuring performance and development
  

Candidate Profile

• Professional qualification such as ICS (Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers) or Maritime Law
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in shipping, P&I, or claims handling
• Strong knowledge of maritime law, claims processes, and P&I operations

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases under pressure
• High attention to detail and decision-making capability
  
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of financial and commercial aspects is an advantage
  
• Willingness to be on-call during critical maritime incidents
