Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical databases supporting global aviation operations. The role involves managing Oracle, MySQL, and other databases while collaborating with engineering teams to drive optimization and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Oracle, MySQL, and other databases in production and development environments.
• Monitor, analyze, and tune databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide on-call support for critical incidents.
• Work closely with engineering teams to design, optimize, and refine database schemas.
• Ensure database security and compliance with best practices.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong expertise in Oracle and MySQL administration.
• Solid knowledge of performance monitoring, tuning, and HA/DR strategies.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, cloud database platforms, and database security.
• Advantageous: experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, or cloud DB services.
