WE ARE HIRING: Assistant General Manager Transport

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead and manage transport and project logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. The Assistant General Manager Transport will oversee fleet management, compliance, logistics planning, and team performance, while driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day transport and project logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Oversee preventive strategies for fleet management, including maintenance, route optimization, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Drive project logistics planning, including heavy lift and oversized cargo movements.
• Supervise logistics vendors, including drivers and internal teams, to deliver seamless solutions.
• Monitor operational KPIs and performance metrics of the Transport Division for continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and company policies.
• Mentor and develop the transport and project logistics teams to build capability and engagement.
• Build strong relationships with the customer base, ensuring a higher level of satisfaction in service delivery.
• Prepare reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business (Postgraduate qualification would be an advantage).
• Professional qualifications in Logistics / Project Management would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 8-10 years experience in transport and project logistics, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
• Proven experience in managing large fleets, subcontractors, and complex logistics projects.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (TMS) and MS Office.
• Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.
