Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant (AUS) to manage Australian accounting and taxation functions. This role involves handling financial reporting, tax compliance, and bookkeeping while ensuring accuracy and adherence to Australian accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Australian taxation, SMSF compliance, and cloud-based accounting platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare individual, company, and trust tax returns in accordance with Australian regulations. Handle BAS/IAS preparation and submissions. Prepare SMSF financial statements and annual returns. Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and payroll processing. Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations and reporting standards. Maintain accurate financial records and support audit requirements.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Australian bookkeeping and accounting.
• Strong hands-on experience in Australian Taxation and SMSF compliance (essential).
• Degree or professional qualification in Finance / Accounting.

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience in Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Online.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Working Details

Working Hours: Australian Time Zones (Early shift – approximately 4:30 AM 1.30PM / 5:30 AM/ 2.30PM start)

Work Type: Hybrid

Working Days: Monday to Friday.
