Role Overview

We are seeking an analytical and technically strong Senior Business Analyst – Data & Analytics to support analytics, reporting, business intelligence, data validation, and AI-enabled BI initiatives.

The selected candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements, translating them into functional and reporting specifications, developing dashboards, validating data using SQL, collaborating with technical teams, and delivering meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for analytics, reporting, and data-driven initiatives.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Support strategic and operational decision-making through accurate data analysis and reporting.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Build clear, user-friendly, and actionable visualizations aligned with business requirements.
• Perform data analysis using SQL to validate business rules, investigate trends, and confirm reporting accuracy.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of reporting outputs.
• Work with stakeholders to define key metrics, performance indicators, and visualization strategies.
• Identify patterns, anomalies, trends, and business drivers within datasets.
• Provide insights to support business planning, performance improvement, and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, software teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data sources, dashboards, and reporting solutions meet agreed business requirements.
• Apply best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, usability, and performance.
• Support the adoption and evolution of AI-enabled Business Intelligence capabilities.
• Help integrate advanced analytics and AI-driven insights into dashboard and reporting solutions.
• Participate in Agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative development.
• Monitor and address data-quality issues, reporting discrepancies, and data inconsistencies.
• Work with technical teams to improve data reliability, reporting quality, and trusted data usage.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing and validation of reporting solutions.
• Confirm that dashboard outputs meet business, functional, and data requirements.
• Present analytical findings, dashboards, and insights to business stakeholders and leadership.
• Maintain documentation for data definitions, reporting logic, business rules, dashboards, and BI solutions.
• Support transparency, governance, and knowledge sharing across analytics and reporting activities.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications, Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration**, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CIM will be an advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in data or technology projects.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, and reporting checks.
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Experience designing dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical views for business users.
• Good understanding of data warehouses, ETL processes, APIs, and data integration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders, developers, data engineers, and leadership teams.
• Ability to explain data insights and technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in financial or operational data environments will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy.
• Good documentation, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple analytics and reporting requirements within deadlines.
• Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a data-driven technology environment.
