Role Overview

We are looking for a highly imaginative and detail-oriented Motion Designer who can translate raw ideas and soundtracks into compelling motion narratives. This role is ideal for someone who visualizes motion through rhythm and emotion first—crafting seamless, loop-ready, social-first content with strong storytelling and musical timing.

You will work with modern AI-assisted creative workflows alongside advanced After Effects execution, delivering high-quality motion content with speed, precision, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Concept & Storytelling

  • Select soundtracks based on pacing, emotion, and visual energy.

  • Visualize motion flow from audio first, then animate in sync with rhythm and emotion.

  • Develop storyboards and style frames that define pacing, movement, and transitions.

  • Create seamless, loop-ready animations for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts.

AI-Assisted Motion Workflows

  • Use AI tools such as Higgsfield, Luma (Ray / Dream Machine), Sora, and Midjourney to develop visual direction, transitions, and motion continuity.

  • Generate start/end frames and style references using AI-assisted tools.

Motion Design & Animation Execution

  • Animate in After Effects with strong timing, easing, and movement language.

  • Perform 3D camera tracking and match-moving for integrated motion scenes.

  • Work confidently with advanced Adobe features including:

    • 3D Models & 3D Shapes in After Effects

    • Rotobrush 3 and updated rotoscoping tools

    • Magic Masking in Premiere Pro

  • Import assets from Figma and Illustrator, rebuilding them into clean, animation-ready shape layers.

Delivery & Workflow Management

  • Deliver projects within a 3-day turnaround window.

  • Maintain clean, organized project files with proper grouping, naming, and handover standards.

Additional Expectations

  • Stay up to date with the latest AI tools, Adobe feature updates, plugins, and motion design workflows.

  • Support occasional graphic design or light video editing tasks when required (not the primary responsibility).

  • Demonstrate a proactive mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems, styles, and workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills

  • Strong visual imagination and creative judgment beyond technical execution.

  • Excellent sense of sound, rhythm, beat alignment, and emotional pacing.

  • Advanced proficiency in After Effects, including:

    • Shape layer animation

    • Typography animation

    • Faux-3D animation

    • 3D camera tracking and geometry workflows

    • Rotoscoping techniques

Tools & Technology

  • Strong working knowledge of Figma and Illustrator asset structures for motion.

  • Confidence using AI tools such as Higgsfield, Luma, Sora, Midjourney, and ChatGPT for understanding briefs, story planning, and movement exploration.

  • Solid understanding of composition, spacing, negative space, and visual rhythm.
