Role Overview

The Business Associate – RM Sourcing is essential for the timely and efficient sourcing of yarn required for production. This role encompasses managing supplier inquiries, negotiating contracts, overseeing purchase orders (POs), and coordinating deliveries to align with production schedules. Additionally, the associate ensures compliance with audit standards and oversees yarn dyeing planning

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Engagement and Purchase Order Management

• Handle inquiries from suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Prepare and issue accurate yarn purchase orders in alignment with production requirements.

Delivery Management

• Monitor and ensure timely delivery of raw materials to prevent disruptions in production timelines.

Record Keeping

• Maintain comprehensive records of supplier interactions, procurement activities, and contract details.
• Organize documentation for easy access during audits or internal reviews.

Compliance Management

• Ensure adherence to audit requirements related to yarn procurement, including GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OCS (Organic Content Standard), and GRS (Global Recycled Standard).

Sustainability Practices

• Manage traceability efforts and handle sustainable platforms effectively.

Team Collaboration

• Provide coverage for Yarn Procurement Assistant duties as needed.
• Lead team efforts in sourcing activities when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Background

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

Basic understanding of yarn procurement processes and supply chain management.

Skills

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for accurate record keeping.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as GOTS, OCS, and GRS is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement-related software.
