Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Executive – Product Development to support the end-to-end product development process within the garment industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating customer requirements, translating them into accurate technical specifications, coordinating sample development activities, and ensuring timely sample delivery. This role requires strong technical understanding of textile and clothing manufacturing, product feasibility, sample analysis, ERP data management, and effective coordination with Business Development and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Technical Feasibility

• Evaluate customer development requirements in collaboration with the Business Development team.
• Analyze product samples to identify construction details, weave patterns, MUCAD design requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Prepare rough specification sheets and identify machine requirements for product development.
• Prepare initial technical specifications to support the development process.
• Communicate required changes or technical clarifications to relevant teams during development stages.

Development Execution & Sample Delivery

• Follow up on product development progress on looms and carry out necessary trials.
• Coordinate with production and technical teams to ensure samples are developed accurately.
• Ensure development samples are completed and handed over to the Business Development team on time.
• Monitor development timelines and support smooth execution from requirement evaluation to sample delivery.

Final Specification & Documentation Management

• Prepare final making specifications and designs upon completion of development samples.
• Maintain accurate and updated product development records for future reference.
• Ensure all technical specifications, sample details, and development information are properly documented.
• Support documentation accuracy to ensure smooth production and sales order processing.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Textile and Clothing Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or any relevant field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in elastic manufacturing, product development, textile manufacturing, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of garment product development, sample analysis, technical specifications, and production feasibility.
• Knowledge of construction methods, weave patterns, machine requirements, and sample development processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• Good documentation, reporting, and technical coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate development records.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Business Development, production, technical, and cross-plant teams.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
