Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Executive to support imports, purchasing, and supply chain operations within an engineering and industrial solutions environment. The role focuses on procurement coordination, logistics management, supplier relationships, inventory handling, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage imports, procurement, logistics, and supply chain activities

• Handle stores and inventory management activities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and local and foreign authorities

• Source and evaluate suppliers and negotiate terms and conditions

• Manage unexpected supplier or supply chain issues with flexibility

• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry related to purchasing and inventory

• Support purchasing procedures and vendor management activities

• Use ERP, inventory, and procurement systems to support operations

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Fully or part-qualified in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a similar qualification from a recognized institution

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in imports, procurement, logistics, and supply chain functions

• Experience in engineering or a similar industry will be an added advantage

• Computer literacy with MS Office packages

• Experience working with ERP systems and accounting / inventory software such as Tally

• Knowledge of inventory and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks) will be an added advantage

• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills in both English and Sinhala

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
