Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to support the development, implementation, and optimization of DevOps practices within a fast-paced software development environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing CI/CD strategies, managing DevOps tools and cloud technologies, automating build and deployment processes, supporting infrastructure as code, and collaborating with development, operations, and QA teams to improve software delivery efficiency. This role requires hands-on experience with Jenkins, AWS, cloud platforms, containerization, scripting, automation, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps Strategy & CI/CD Implementation

• Develop and implement DevOps strategies with a strong focus on continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines aligned with software development and operational goals.
• Ensure seamless integration and automation of build, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Support the implementation of DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Tools, Cloud & Automation

• Implement and manage DevOps tools and technologies, including Jenkins, AWS services, and open-source solutions.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as on-premises environments.
• Support infrastructure as code practices and automation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation across development and operations workflows.

Containerization & Infrastructure Support

• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of application environments.
• Assist in improving infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot DevOps, deployment, and infrastructure-related issues.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline workflows.
• Act as a bridge between development and operations teams to promote shared responsibility.
• Support cross-functional teams in integrating DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to improve the DevOps environment.

Mentoring & Team Support

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance team technical capabilities.
• Promote DevOps best practices, automation standards, and continuous improvement across the team.
• Support knowledge sharing and technical development within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of solid industry experience in a competitive software development environment.
• Experience in designing and implementing DevOps and CI/CD strategies.
• Proficiency in Jenkins, AWS, and open-source DevOps tools.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as PowerShell, ARM Templates, YAML, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
• Experience working with on-premises infrastructure solutions will be an added advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator will be an added advantage.
• Ability to mentor and train junior DevOps engineers.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment and meet deadlines.
