Role Overview
We are seeking a proficient Quantity Surveyor to deliver accurate cost management and contractual oversight for construction projects across Dubai and other UAE emirates. The role covers both pre- and post-contract phases, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, Dubai BIM mandates, and sustainability standards. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced tools, foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver cost-effective solutions to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets using digital tools (CostX, Bluebeam).
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost calculations for architectural, interior, structural, and MEP works using BIM (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks).
- Prepare BOQs and contract conditions based on FIDIC standards tailored to UAE requirements.
- Develop tender documents, clarifications, and addendums for digital submissions to UAE authorities.
- Evaluate contractors tender submissions and prepare comprehensive tender reports.
- Draft LOAs and contract agreements, ensuring compliance with UAE construction laws.
- Evaluate and select suppliers/subcontractors, prioritizing sustainable practices (Al Safat, LEED).
- Verify interim and final payment certificates against BOQs and milestones.
- Manage variations, contract changes, and finalize agreements using BIM data.
- Monitor project costs and deliver real-time cost reports using tools such as Procore or Celoxis.
- Apply value engineering, cost-in-use studies, and risk management using AI-driven analytics.
- Collaborate with design teams from concept stage to provide cost-effective input.
- Maintain project documentation via digital platforms for streamlined workflows.
- Adopt innovative technologies such as 3D scanning, digital twins, or AI analytics for improved workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Certifications in BIM (Autodesk Certified Professional), cost management, or sustainability (LEED, Al Safat) preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UAE, with Dubai project exposure.
- Knowledge of UAE construction laws, building codes, and Dubai Green Building Regulations.
- Proficiency in POMI and FIDIC contract conditions.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and ISO 19650-compliant processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Membership in professional organizations (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is advantageous.
Software Expertise:
- Cost Management & BIM Tools: CostX, Bluebeam, CostOS, Cleopatra Enterprise, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Project Management Tools: Procore, Celoxis, MS Project.
- Emerging Tech: AI-driven platforms (ALICE, Smartvid.io), VR/AR tools (Enscape, Twinmotion), Dynamo, Grasshopper.
- General: MS Office Suite.
