Role Overview

We are seeking a highly efficient, experienced, and competent Corporate Lawyer to join a leading legal services organization.

This role requires strong expertise in corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, and commercial contract negotiations. The ideal candidate will be confident handling high-level legal advisory work while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Legal Advisory

• Provide expert legal advice on corporate and commercial matters.

• Draft, review, and negotiate high-level commercial contracts across various industries.

• Support clients in corporate structuring, governance, and compliance matters.

Company Secretarial & Regulatory Compliance

• Manage company secretarial functions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Handle statutory filings and maintain corporate records.

• Advise on regulatory obligations and risk mitigation.

Conveyancing & Property Law

• Manage conveyancing transactions and property-related legal documentation.

• Provide legal advisory services related to real estate and property law.

Intellectual Property & Commercial Matters

• Handle Intellectual Property and Trademark-related matters.

• Support corporate clients with contract negotiations and commercial agreements.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong client communication and professional relationships.

• Represent clients in legal negotiations and advisory engagements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Corporate Law.

• Strong experience in company secretarial work and regulatory compliance.

• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong client communication and negotiation skills.

• Must hold a valid Notarial License to practice in Colombo in the English language.
