Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPNs, VPCs, and other networking components.

• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, such as Terraform, to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.

• Develop and maintain build pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

• Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans in the cloud environment, ensuring high availability and resilience.

• Manage security aspects of cloud infrastructure, including implementing ransomware mitigation processes and ensuring compliance with security best practices.

• Utilize Docker and other containerization technologies to containerize applications and manage their deployment in the cloud.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide cloud-native support for applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, and continuously seek opportunities to optimize and improve cloud infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 5 years of experience working as a Cloud Operations Engineer or similar role.

• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.

• Proficiency in designing and implementing VPNs, VPCs, and other networking components in AWS.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.

• Hands-on experience with immutable infrastructure design using HashiCorp Packer for building machine images.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.

• Take responsibility for optimizing cloud costs by analyzing usage patterns, identifying cost drivers, implementing cost-saving measures, and providing recommendations for cost optimization.

• Excellent scripting skills in bash or other scripting languages.

• Experience in implementing disaster recovery plans and security measures in the cloud.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.

• Knowledge and experience in implementing and maintaining log aggregation systems like Grafana Loki or Elasticsearch.

• Knowledge and experience in implementing and maintaining metrics aggregator systems like Prometheus, visualization, and monitoring tools like Grafana.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
