Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Galle

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at our PVC plant in Galle. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and a strong track record in managing production operations, ensuring the efficient and smooth functioning of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PVC manufacturing plant to ensure smooth production flow.

  • Lead and manage the production team to achieve production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols.

  • Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resources.

  • Ensure adherence to production processes, ISO standards, and safety regulations.

  • Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues that arise during production.

  • Ensure the highest standards of product quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality control, and supply chain to ensure seamless operations.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to team members to enhance skills and productivity.

  • Prepare and manage production reports, ensuring that KPIs are tracked and met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering).

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the manufacturing or PVC industry.

  • Strong knowledge of production processes, plant operations, and quality control standards.

  • Experience in managing production teams and improving manufacturing processes.

  • Familiarity with PVC production techniques and machinery is a strong advantage.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments.

  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
