Job Title: Technology Entrepreneur

• Location:  Export Processing Zone, Biyagama

• Work Type: Onsite

• Work Hours: 8.30 am - 5.30 pm 

• Working Days: Monday - Friday

Requirements:

• A degree in Chemistry, Textile, Materials Chemistry, Materials Physics or a related field from a recognized institute.

• 4-5 years of experience related to textile fiber, Yarn, Polymer, or chemistry.

• Experience in product development and innovation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time-management skills, and strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Category Centers of Excellence (COEs), Company teams, Supply chain partners and other Capability COE teams to identify opportunities.

• Review requirements with relevant category and capability COEs and assess requests from COEs and co-evaluate to identify suitable opportunities according to potential impacts of the project outcomes.

• Clarify, define the need, articulate the problems to solve, and help validate the potential opportunity.

• Co-create solutions and innovative products to elevate technology within the group & with outside tech partners.

• Conduct feasibility studies to determine how to produce (manufacturing processes, RM availability, geographies etc.) technically viable and commercially successful products.

• Ensure all innovations are evaluated and suitably secured for intellectual property.

• For new-to-the-world ideas/innovations, take necessary steps for copyright registration or patenting to protect the organization's intellectual property while maintaining secrecy during the process.

• Coordinate with testing laboratories and work with divisions, customers to conduct wearer testing and other relevant tests and evaluate solutions not only in test labs but also in real-world applications.

• Ensure requested needs are adequately reflected in the final product, conduct assessments to ensure the workability of solutions

• Proactively seek to understand available technologies and growth platforms and build relationships with potential solution partners
