Role Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical Factory Accountant to support factory finance operations, sales reporting, production monitoring, cost management, payables, payroll related payments, supplier coordination, inventory related activities, and budgeting within the apparel industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial and operational records, preparing timely reports, analyzing performance variances, supporting production cost control, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring accurate financial data for management decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Reporting and Analysis

• Maintain and update the daily sales database.
• Prepare monthly sales reports accurately and on time.
  
• Monitor daily sales performance by analyzing plan versus actual variances.
• Perform weekly sales reconciliations between the system database and daily sales reports.
  
• Highlight sales related discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.

Production Monitoring and Control

• Update and maintain monthly and year to date production reports.
• Manage the production database and resolve discrepancies with relevant departments.
  
• Track and report daily production performance.
• Support production control processes to improve operational efficiency.
  
• Provide accurate production related data for management review.

Cost Management and Financial Reporting

• Update and monitor the weekly cost tracker.
• Prepare monthly provisions and ensure accurate financial recording.
  
• Review and validate plant unit expense reports.
• Monitor and manage machinery rental expenses.
  
• Support accurate cost tracking and financial reporting across factory operations.

Procurement and System Coordination

• Verify purchase requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure procurement records are accurate.
  
• Facilitate item creation in WFX, including approvals for production groups and sub categories.
• Ensure system data is maintained accurately for reporting and operational use.
  

Payroll and Employee Related Payments

• Verify employee incentive calculations for accuracy.
• Review gratuity provisions and payment related records.
  
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure employee
• related financial records are properly maintained.

Supplier and Payables Management

• Liaise with suppliers regarding monthly payments.
• Perform supplier account reconciliations.
  
• Ensure payables related documentation is accurate and properly maintained.
• Follow up on supplier payment matters and resolve account related discrepancies.
  

Inventory and Operational Finance Support

• Oversee waste sales operations, including invoice preparation and cash collection.
• Maintain accurate records related to inventory linked financial activities.
  
• Support operational teams with finance related data and documentation when required.

Budgeting and Planning

• Support the annual budgeting process by providing required data and analysis.
• Assist in preparing financial inputs for planning and management review.
  
• Provide accurate reports to support factory performance monitoring and decision making.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part qualification in CA, CIMA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.
  
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar accounting or factory finance role.
• Experience in apparel manufacturing or factory accounting will be preferred.
  
• Strong understanding of receivables, payables, and accounting principles.
• Strong skills in MS Excel and data analysis.
  
• Proficiency in accounting or ERP systems.
• Experience with production reporting, cost tracking, supplier reconciliations, and financial reporting will be an advantage.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.
• Ability to coordinate with finance, production, procurement, HR, and supplier teams effectively.
