Role Overview

We are seeking a senior and technically strong Technical Business Analyst to support software engineering teams by acting as the bridge between stakeholders and developers.

The selected candidate will be responsible for understanding user requirements, preparing user stories, documenting software features, supporting project planning, and ensuring business needs are translated into clear technical specifications. This role is ideal for a Business Analyst with strong software development exposure, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with complex systems and international teams.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & User Story Development

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, user requests, and system requirements.
• Analyze incoming requests and identify clear functional and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into well-structured user stories for development teams.
• Identify gaps, ambiguities, and assumptions in requirements and propose practical solutions.
• Represent the user perspective during sprint planning and project discussions.

Technical Documentation & System Understanding

• Prepare clear user documentation describing system features, workflows, and common issue resolutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as process maps, system flows, database models, and specifications.
• Develop a strong understanding of internal software systems, user interfaces, business logic, and data flows.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, accessible, and aligned with user training needs.

Stakeholder & Engineering Collaboration

• Work closely with software engineers, project managers, analysts, team leads, and senior technology stakeholders.
• Act as the communication bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to business users and translate business expectations into technical language.
• Collaborate with international teams to ensure alignment on priorities, requirements, and delivery expectations.

Software Product Support & Continuous Improvement

• Support ongoing improvements to internal software platforms and public-facing digital systems.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve user journeys, feature usability, and system functionality.
• Contribute to discussions on interface design, charts, visualisations, and user experience improvements when required.
• Support data-driven planning and future software enhancement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working on complex software systems.
• Experience in software development environments and strong understanding of how engineering teams operate.
• Ability to read and understand database schemas, process maps, API documentation, and technical specifications.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse and international teams.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent note-taking, documentation, and questioning skills.
• Ability to challenge assumptions, identify requirement gaps, and recommend practical alternatives.
• Comfortable working in Agile or Waterfall project structures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AI tools and ability to review AI outputs with accuracy and good judgment.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• A self-starter with a proactive mindset and willingness to work across different business challenges and technologies.

Additional Advantages

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Prior exposure to finance, accounting, valuation, analytics, or similar business domains.
• Experience working with complex internal software platforms, analytical systems, or data-heavy applications.
