Role Overview

We are seeking an outgoing, trustworthy, and target-driven Manager – Sales and Marketing to lead sales, marketing, travel operations, and customer service activities within the travel and tourism industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing ticketing, visa services, inbound and outbound tours, coordinating staff activities, strengthening customer and industry relationships, and supporting the company's overall sales and marketing performance. This role requires strong travel trade experience, excellent communication skills, and hands-on knowledge of airline booking systems and travel operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales, Marketing & Business Growth

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase business revenue.
• Create and maintain sales targets, budgets, and performance plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel partners, airlines, agents, and industry contacts.
• Identify new business opportunities within ticketing, visa services, and tour operations.
• Work towards achieving sales targets while supporting overall company growth.

Travel Operations & Service Management

• Plan, organize, and arrange travel-related services for clients.
• Oversee ticketing, visa handling, and tour package operations.
• Manage both inbound and outbound tour arrangements.
• Ensure all travel arrangements are handled accurately, professionally, and on time.
• Maintain high service standards across all customer-facing travel services.

Ticketing, Visa & Tour Package Handling

• Overlook and drive the success of ticketing operations, visa services, and tour package handling.
• Use professional travel knowledge to guide customers and internal teams.
• Ensure smooth coordination between clients, airlines, embassies, hotels, transport providers, and other travel partners.
• Monitor customer requirements and ensure timely follow-up on travel-related inquiries.

Team Coordination & Operational Leadership

• Coordinate and direct the activities of staff members.
• Guide, support, and monitor the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and target achievement.
• Support staff in resolving customer issues and operational challenges.
• Ensure sales, service, and operational activities are aligned with business goals.

Digital & Social Media Support

• Oversee social media platforms and support online promotional activities.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to promote travel packages, ticketing services, visa services, and tour offerings.
• Support the creation of marketing content that helps improve visibility and customer engagement.
• Monitor online inquiries and ensure timely responses where required.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the travel trade or travel industry.
• Strong professional knowledge of ticketing, visa handling, and inbound/outbound tour arrangements.
• Solid knowledge of airline booking systems such as AMADEUS and BSP.
• Strong network and industry connections within the travel sector.
• Experience in sales, marketing, customer handling, and travel operations.
• Ability to create and manage budgets, sales targets, and performance plans.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and guide staff members.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.
• Good knowledge of social media platforms and online marketing activities.
• Outgoing personality with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Target-driven, trustworthy, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
