Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Executive – Claims to support the handling of Protection & Indemnity (P&I) claims within a marine environment. This role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing claims documentation, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents while maintaining high service standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and support P&I claims including ship, cargo, crew, and third-party incidents
• Coordinate with surveyors, lawyers, authorities, and other stakeholders for claim resolution
• Analyze survey reports and provide accurate feedback and recommendations
• Maintain communication with clients and ensure timely updates on claims progress
• Ensure adherence to P&I Club guidelines and company procedures
  Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports related to claims
• Assist in resolving complex incidents including cargo damage, pollution, and crew-related cases
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
• Support overall claims handling processes to meet departmental KPIs

Candidate Profile

• Degree or Diploma in Shipping, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shipping operations or claims handling (experience in P&I will be an added advantage).

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of marine claims and shipping operations
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
  
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
