WE ARE HIRING: Senior Payroll & GL Accountant

Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Payroll & GL Accountant to manage payroll processes, general ledger accounting, and support ERP implementation during a period of organizational transformation. This role requires strong technical expertise, a digital mindset, and the ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations while driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll accounting, including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and VAT returns.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes and prepare accurate reports.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards and company policies.
• Provide audit support by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to ERP implementation and payroll process redesign.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CTP) preferred or in progress.
• 4-7 years of experience in audit or international business environment; UAE/Middle East exposure is an advantage.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, payroll, and auditing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with excellent English communication.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with shipping, maritime, oil & gas, or transportation industries is a plus.
