WE ARE HIRING : Head of Business Development and Sales (Manager Level)
Role Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Head of Business Development and Sales to lead sales performance, drive business growth, and strengthen customer relationships within the transportation and logistics sector. This leadership role involves building sustainable revenue pipelines, expanding market share, and ensuring profitability through strategic sales initiatives and effective team management.
Key Responsibilities:

Achieve defined sales targets, revenue goals, and market share growth across identified segments.

Lead business development initiatives aligned with company objectives to maximize revenue and profit contribution.

Identify and convert new business opportunities across B2B and B2C segments.

Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive satisfaction and retention.

Develop and execute strategic plans to expand into new markets and grow existing customer portfolios.

Lead proposal preparation, RFQs, and client presentations to secure contracts and business wins.

Manage credit collections, minimize overdue receivables, and mitigate risks of bad debt.

Ensure profitability through margin management, cost control, and product mix optimization.

Collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to align business objectives.
-
Guide and coach the sales team, ensuring performance excellence.

Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing intelligence to maintain competitive advantage.

Manage relationships with principals (e.g., FedEx Logistics) to ensure effective alignment.

Own and track key KPIs including sales revenue, contribution margins, and Profit Before Tax (PBT).
Requirements:

Bachelors degree (UGC-approved) or equivalent professional qualification.

Minimum of 5 years experience (including at least 3 years at Assistant Manager level).

Proven experience in Air Express (Courier) and/or Freight Forwarding (Air/Ocean Freight) sales.

Strong track record in driving results, influencing stakeholders, and developing diverse talent.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and sales strategy skills with an analytical approach.

Solid customer service attitude with strong negotiation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
