Role Overview

We are seeking an outgoing, people focused, and proactive Staff Engagement Lead, HR to manage staff engagement initiatives across both academic and non academic divisions within the education sector.

The selected candidate will be responsible for building strong employee relationships, driving engagement activities, supporting internal communication, coordinating HR initiatives, and creating a positive workplace culture. This role requires a strong HR background, excellent PR and interpersonal skills, and the ability to independently manage staff engagement related responsibilities with confidence and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Engagement and Employee Relations

  • Lead staff engagement initiatives across academic and non academic teams.
  • Build strong relationships with employees at different levels of the organization.
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff engagement matters and workplace concerns.
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Identify employee engagement gaps and recommend practical improvement actions.

HR Communication and Coordination

  • Coordinate internal communication related to HR initiatives, employee activities, and engagement programmes.
  • Work closely with academic, administrative, and support teams to ensure smooth communication.
  • Support management in maintaining strong employee morale and workplace connection.
  • Ensure staff related updates, activities, and initiatives are communicated clearly and professionally.

Engagement Activities and Culture Building

  • Plan and coordinate staff engagement activities, events, recognition programmes, and internal initiatives.
  • Promote employee participation and involvement across divisions.
  • Support initiatives that improve staff motivation, retention, and workplace satisfaction.
  • Work independently to execute engagement activities from planning to completion.

HR Support and Process Coordination

  • Support HR related activities connected to employee experience and staff welfare.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve staff concerns and improve response timelines.
  • Maintain records, reports, and updates related to engagement 
  • activities and employee feedback.
  • Assist in developing structured approaches to staff engagement and internal relationship management.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree or professional qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong HR background with experience in employee engagement, HR operations, employee relations, or staff coordination.
  • Experience in the education sector will be an added advantage.
  • Outgoing personality with strong PR and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and local languages.
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimum supervision.
  • Strong coordination, follow up, and relationship management skills.
  • Professional, approachable, and confident in dealing with academic and non academic staff.
  • Ability to handle multiple engagement initiatives and HR related tasks at the same time.
    High level of confidentiality, maturity, and emotional intelligence.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to build trust and support a people centered workplace culture.
