Role Overview

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Claims Manager to join a leading maritime-focused organisation. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in shipping operations, marine insurance, and P&I (Protection & Indemnity) claims, handling complex incidents and working with international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end marine insurance and P&I claims processes.
• Handle complex cases including collisions, cargo damage, pollution, crew claims, and incident exposure.
• Coordinate with P&I Clubs, surveyors, lawyers, and regulatory authorities for effective claim resolution.
• Review survey reports and prepare claims documentation with strong analytical insight.
• Provide recommendations on claims strategy, risk, and exposure.
• Ensure compliance with IG Club guidelines, maritime regulations, and HSSE standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers, shipping principals, and key stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in shipping operations, marine insurance, or claims handling.
• Proven experience in P&I (Protection & Indemnity) claims is essential.
• Background in incident handling and claims exposure analysis.
• ICS (Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers) qualification or progress towards it is highly preferred.
• Experience in roles such as Claims Officer, Marine Insurance Executive, or Shipping Operations Executive.
• Strong knowledge of maritime law, claims processes, and insurance practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
