Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and commercially focused Assistant Manager – Sales & New Business Development to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships within a dynamic trading environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, acquiring new customers, reactivating dormant accounts, and supporting the achievement of business growth targets. This role requires strong B2B sales experience, market development skills, client relationship management, and the ability to work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales growth plans aligned with annual sales targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, market segments, and customer channels.
- Execute sales and business development strategies in line with company objectives.
- Acquire new customers and expand the existing client base.
- Reactivate dormant accounts and maximize revenue potential from existing customers.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients through regular engagement.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products or solutions.
- Conduct market visits to gather insights, identify opportunities, and monitor customer needs.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach to support long-term business growth.
Market Analysis & Sales Planning
- Conduct market analysis and monitor competitor activity to support sales planning.
- Support the development and promotion of new product lines and business solutions.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and business updates to support management decision-making.
- Maintain accurate CRM updates, sales records, and pipeline information.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CIM or SLIM will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, FMCG sales, industrial sales, or a similar sales environment.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong experience in new business development, market development, and customer acquisition.
- Excellent relationship management and client engagement skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Good planning, organizing, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and manage customer requirements effectively.
- Results-oriented with strong accountability and a proactive sales mindset.
