Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Team Lead – Accounting to manage accounting operations, oversee financial processes, and lead a high-performing team. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, managing banking operations, and improving processes within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring effective task allocation and performance
• Oversee daily accounting operations including receivables, payments, and reconciliations
  
• Manage bank payments, forex transactions, and ensure compliance with authorization limits
• Maintain accurate accounting records and update financial systems
  
• Perform and review bank reconciliations on a timely basis
• Monitor fund requests, incoming payments, and clearance accounts
  
• Liaise with banks regarding transactions, charges, and compliance queries
• Ensure timely communication with internal teams and stakeholders on payment status
  
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Support audits, compliance requirements, and financial reporting activities
  
• Handle ad-hoc finance and operational requests as required

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / MBA will be an added advantage
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or marine industry is preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting operations and financial processes
• Experience in banking operations, forex transactions, and reconciliations
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong leadership and team management skills
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
