Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Executive – Legal to support legal operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide legal guidance across business functions. This role focuses on contract management, legal advisory, and supporting corporate governance within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
  
• Conduct legal research and provide advisory on legal matters
• Perform due diligence and support business transactions
  
• Liaise with external law firms and legal counsels
• Provide legal advice on corporate and operational matters
  
• Handle day-to-day administrative functions of the legal department
• Support contract management, tenders, and corporate documentation
  
• Assist management with legal risk identification and mitigation

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Attorney-at-Law with a Bachelor's Degree in Law
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate legal practice
• Experience in contract law and company law
• Exposure to international trade law or shipping law will be an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of contract and corporate law
• Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala
  
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
