Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Correspondent Manager to oversee operations within the P&I (Protection & Indemnity) function, ensuring efficient claims handling, compliance, and strong stakeholder relationships. This role involves managing complex marine incidents, leading teams, and supporting business growth while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee P&I operations, ensuring effective handling of incidents and claims
• Allocate cases to team members and monitor performance and service delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with P&I Clubs, clients, and key stakeholders
• Coordinate with authorities, surveyors, legal teams, and service providers for case resolution
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Handle complex marine incidents including collisions, cargo damage, crew injury, and pollution cases
• Monitor debtor balances and implement actions to minimize financial risk
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities locally and internationally
• Prepare reports, budgets, and performance analysis for management review
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring effective resource allocation
• Maintain high-quality documentation, reporting, and case management standards
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and ethical standards within operations

Candidate Profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Shipping, Maritime, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in the shipping industry, including operational and managerial exposure.
• Professional certifications such as Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers or equivalent will be an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of P&I operations, marine claims, and shipping regulations
