Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Software Architect to lead solution design, system architecture planning, technology selection, and software architecture improvements within the education sector.

The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements, designing scalable information systems, guiding engineering teams, supporting client and stakeholder discussions, and ensuring technology decisions align with business goals. This role requires strong software engineering experience, architecture design capability, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of modern technologies, frameworks, databases, and operating environments.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture and System Design

• Design and build information systems that meet stakeholder and business requirements.
• Analyze existing system architecture and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
  
• Participate in solution design discussions with engineering teams, clients, and relevant stakeholders.
• Assess technical options and evaluate their impact on business goals and outcomes.
  
• Develop architecture approaches that support long term system growth and operational efficiency.

Requirement Analysis and Documentation

• Analyze business requirements, enterprise specifications, and technical needs.
• Prepare relevant design documents, technical specifications, and architecture documentation.
  
• Translate stakeholder requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure all design decisions are clearly documented and communicated to technical teams.
  

Technology Selection and Innovation

• Research current technology trends and recommend suitable changes where necessary.
• Participate in selecting programming languages, frameworks, libraries, tools, and platforms.
  
• Evaluate available technologies and recommend the best solution based on requirements and existing environments.
• Support innovation and continuous improvement across software architecture and engineering practices.
  

Development Control and Technical Guidance

• Guide and support engineering teams throughout the solution development process.
• Ensure software development follows approved architecture, coding standards, and quality practices.
  
• Review technical designs and provide guidance to ensure consistency and maintainability.
• Support resolution of technical challenges during development and implementation.
  
• Establish collaboration frameworks between technical teams and stakeholders..

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering.
  
• Experience in software architecture design will be highly preferred.
• Strong design knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and libraries such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, React, and related technologies.
  
• Sound knowledge of operating systems, databases, and enterprise software environments.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture, system integration, and application design principles.
  
• Ability to analyze technical choices and assess their business impact.
• Previous project management and resource management experience will be an added advantage.
  
• Strong organizational, leadership, and decision making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to work with engineering teams, clients, and business stakeholders effectively.
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to guide teams through complex technical decisions.
