Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially sharp and strategic Head of Content & Messaging to own and lead all marketing messaging end-to-end.
This is not a junior writing role. This is not a design role. This is not a social media posting position.
This is a senior ownership role responsible for creating messaging that:

Stops the scroll

Communicates instantly

Drives enquiries and sales
You will define, refine, and control the message across ads, funnels, websites, email campaigns, and social channels. While AI may be used as a tool, you are fully accountable for the final output, clarity, persuasion, and commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Messaging Ownership (Non-Negotiable)

Decide what is communicated, how it is communicated, and why it converts.

Define hooks, angles, headlines, CTAs, and key messaging frameworks.

Ensure every piece of content has commercial intent and a clear objective.

Maintain full ownership of messaging quality and strategic alignment.
2. Copy Quality & Editorial Leadership

Rewrite and refine AI-generated content to meet high standards.
-
Improve grammar, tone, structure, and clarity.
-
Remove generic language, fluff, and buzzwords.
-
Ensure content sounds confident, human, and aligned with target market expectations.
3. Message QA & Performance Alignment
-
Review final marketing materials for message clarity and impact.
-
Ensure headlines are strong and instantly clear.
-
Validate that messaging lands within seconds and drives action.
-
Align copy closely with performance marketing objectives.
4. Funnels, Ads & Campaign Strategy
-
Write and structure high-converting landing pages and lead magnets.
-
Develop ad copy for paid channels including Meta, Google, and other platforms.
-
Create email sequences (nurture and promotional).
-
Collaborate with paid media teams to align messaging with performance metrics.
5. Brand Positioning & Strategy
-
Define and oversee company-wide brand messaging across channels.
-
Determine content direction and publishing strategy.
-
Position the organization as a results-driven, high-performance brand.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Proven experience owning messaging across ads, funnels, email campaigns, and websites.
-
Experience working with Australian businesses or agencies is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of performance marketing and conversion-focused copy.
-
Excellent written English (non-negotiable).
-
Strong commercial judgment and decision-making ability.
-
Agency experience is an added advantage.
-
Experience working with service-based or local businesses is preferred.
