Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM onsite
  • Monday to Friday: 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM work from home
  • Saturday: 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM work from home

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and target-driven Assistant Manager / Manager – Student Recruitment & Admissions to lead student counselling, admissions coordination, team performance, application management, and customer service within the overseas education sector.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the student counselling team in Sri Lanka, coordinating with the UK office, ensuring timely submission of applications, monitoring recruitment pipelines, improving conversion rates, and supporting high-quality student service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the student counselling team in Sri Lanka.
  • Ensure team targets, KPIs, and conversion goals are achieved.
  • Develop and implement efficient student recruitment and admissions strategies.
  • Align admissions activities with UK team goals and university requirements.
  • Coordinate with the UK office to ensure accurate and timely submission of student applications.
  • Monitor the student recruitment pipeline and ensure proper follow-up with prospective students.
  • Track application progress, pending documents, offers, payments, visa-related updates, and admissions timelines.
  • Provide training, support, and mentorship to junior counsellors.
  • Guide the team on admissions procedures, counselling quality, CRM usage, and follow-up standards.
  • Handle escalated student inquiries and provide professional solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service across all student interactions.
  • Build strong relationships with students, universities, internal teams, and remote stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate student data management through CRM systems and internal tools.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Analyze team performance, lead conversions, application progress, and admission outcomes.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen recruitment and admissions performance.
  • Coordinate effectively with remote teams and stakeholders to support smooth operations.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy when handling student information.
  • Perform any other student recruitment, admissions, or team management duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in student recruitment, overseas education, admissions management, or a similar role.
  • Experience in UK university admissions is required.
  • Knowledge of UK university application processes and student finance will be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive high performance in a target-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of student counselling, application follow-ups, admissions coordination, and conversion tracking.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data management tools.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with remote teams and international stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with students, universities, internal teams, and overseas offices.
  • Good reporting, analytical, and performance-monitoring skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle escalations professionally.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple student applications, deadlines, and team priorities.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, accountable, and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including evening and Saturday work-from-home shifts.
