Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, client focused, and results driven Business Development Officer, Laboratory Services to support business growth, client relationship management, and sales development within the testing, inspection, and certification industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, promoting laboratory services, building strong client relationships, generating leads, and supporting customer satisfaction through professional communication and follow up.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for laboratory services.
• Generate leads and referrals to support new client acquisition.
• Promote laboratory solutions to potential and existing clients.
• Support sales and marketing activities to expand business presence.
• Follow up with prospects and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across relevant industries.
• Understand client requirements and recommend suitable laboratory services.
• Ensure excellent customer satisfaction through timely communication and support.
• Maintain regular follow ups with clients to strengthen long term business relationships.
• Represent the organization professionally during client visits and business meetings.

Market Development & Field Coordination

• Travel around the country to meet clients and explore new business opportunities.
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and potential service expansion areas.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are handled effectively.
• Support promotional activities, presentations, and client engagement initiatives.

Compliance, Safety & Professional Standards

• Follow HSE guidelines, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Maintain high integrity, discipline, and professionalism in all business activities.
• Ensure customer information and business data are handled responsibly.
• Work with minimum guidance while maintaining accountability and accuracy.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Fresh graduates who are willing to start a career in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in sales and marketing, food manufacturing, laboratory services, or operations will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Hands on experience in MS Office packages.
• Valid driving or riding license is required.
• Ability to travel around the country when required.
• Self organized, enthusiastic, and able to work with minimum guidance.
• Disciplined, positive minded, and a strong team player.
• High integrity with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and convert opportunities into business leads.
