Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager – Technical to lead technical development activities with a strong focus on ladieswear, fit, garment construction, and pattern processes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing technical development, overseeing fit sessions, ensuring sample accuracy, coordinating with design, production, QA, vendors, and manufacturing teams, and maintaining high standards in garment quality, construction, cost efficiency, and production readiness. This role requires deep technical expertise in woven and denim garments, strong leadership skills, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development & Fit Management

• Lead the technical development of ladieswear garments, ensuring accurate fit, silhouette, and construction.
• Oversee fitting sessions, review sample evaluations, and ensure timely implementation of corrections.
• Ensure all garment construction and fit standards are aligned with buyer expectations and production requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on pattern accuracy, garment measurements, shrinkage, and production feasibility.

Design, Production & Quality Coordination

• Collaborate with design, production, and QA teams to achieve aesthetic and functional garment standards.
• Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and manufacturers to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all patterns are aligned with production and cost requirements without compromising quality.
• Support smooth transition from sample development to bulk production.

Technical Documentation & Process Control

• Prepare, review, and maintain technical files, SOPs, and sample evaluation reports.
• Ensure technical documentation is accurate, updated, and properly communicated to relevant teams.
• Maintain consistency in technical standards, sample comments, and production requirements.
• Support process improvements related to fit, construction, and technical development.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Guide and mentor junior team members while promoting best practices across the department.
• Train, manage, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams.
• Support productivity improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process efficiency practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in garment development, sample approval, and technical execution.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Garment Technology, or a related field.
• Master's degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in technical and production management.
• Strong experience in woven and denim garments is preferred.
• Deep expertise in garment construction, fit, pattern making, marker planning, shrinkage management, and sewing operations.
• Experience in managing samples for major international buyers such as Walmart, Levi's, H&M, Zara, C&A, Old Navy, or GAP.
• Proficiency in preparing and maintaining technical files, SOPs, and sample evaluation reports.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and productivity improvement practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to train, manage, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
