Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Broadcast RF Engineer to support the delivery of radio and television transmission projects across the UAE, Oman, Sri Lanka and other international project locations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of terrestrial broadcast transmission systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience in RF transmission systems, broadcast technologies, project coordination, technical site surveys, and client-facing support within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Broadcast RF Installation & Commissioning

• Carry out installation and commissioning of terrestrial broadcast transmitter systems for FM radio, digital radio, and digital TV transmission networks.
• Install and commission PIM systems and other associated RF equipment.
• Install and configure network management systems for broadcast and transmission environments.
• Install power supply systems for transmission systems, including distribution boards, UPS, and AVR systems.
• Ensure all installation and commissioning activities are completed according to technical standards, project requirements, and safety guidelines.

Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and warranty support for existing transmission systems.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to RF systems, broadcast equipment, power systems, and network management systems.
• Provide technical support during and after project implementation.
• Assist in improving system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Project Execution & Site Coordination

• Conduct technical site surveys and prepare detailed site reports.
• Ensure project activities are completed within defined timelines and approved budgets.
• Assist other installation teams across project sites when required.
• Coordinate with internal project teams, clients, and stakeholders to support smooth project delivery.
• Attend client and stakeholder meetings when required.

Project Planning & Bid Support

• Support the project bidding team by identifying required manpower, installation materials, tools, and technical requirements.
• Provide technical input for project planning, implementation schedules, and resource requirements.
• Support project teams with RF engineering expertise during pre-installation and execution stages.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in broadcast RF engineering, telecommunications engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience in installation and commissioning of RF transmission systems.
• Good understanding of radio and television broadcast technologies.
• Experience with terrestrial broadcast transmitter systems, FM radio, digital radio, and digital TV transmission networks.
• Knowledge of PIM systems, RF equipment, network management systems, and transmission power supply systems.
• Additional knowledge in IT infrastructure and networking will be an added advantage.
• Ability to conduct technical site surveys and prepare professional reports.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work with project teams, clients, and technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel internationally and be based in Oman or the UAE depending on project requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
