WE ARE HIRING : Compliance & International Relations Officer AML/CFT

The Job / Responsibilities
As a Compliance & International Relations Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the countrys AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering / Countering the Financing of Terrorism) framework, coordinating with national stakeholders and international agencies.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Liaise with international supervisory agencies such as Asia Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) and the Egmont Group.
- Review updates to the FATF Recommendations and other developments relating to AML/CFT/CPF global frameworks.
- Assist in preparing reports for submission to international agencies and follow-up activities related to FATF, ICRG, APG, and Egmont missions.
- Facilitate and coordinate the development and implementation of the National AML/CFT Policy and institution-wise action plans.
- Support the organization of AML/CFT Task Force meetings with relevant stakeholder institutions and attend such meetings.
- Follow up on activities and progress related to AML/CFT Task Force decisions.
- Assist in drafting Cabinet Papers and other official reports as directed by the Chairman of the Task Force.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (minimum of 3 years) in International Relations, Management, Law, Economics, or Business Administration with Minimum of 2nd Class Upper Division, or 3.5 GPA out of 4.0, or 75% Weighted Average Marks (WAM)
- Degree must be from a local or foreign university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of post-qualifying experience in one or more of the following areas:
- International Relations
- Supervisory / Regulatory functions
- Finance, Auditing, Risk Management, or Compliance
- Cyber Security or Information Technology
Experience with regulatory bodies, supervisory institutions, or well-established organizations in banking, finance, or auditing sectors will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills / Competencies:
- Excellent proficiency in Sinhala/Tamil and English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to draft clear, concise, and well-structured reports and official documents.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
