Director of Data & Analytics

Location: Merida, Yucatan
Reports to: CFO
Language Requirement: Bilingual (English-Spanish)

This is a hands-on, high-ownership technical role, not a manager who delegates. We need someone who can architect, build, and scale a clean data environment from the ground up.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘄𝗻:
- Database structure, relationships, and performance
- SQL queries, views, and data models
- ETL/ELT pipelines (built and maintained by you)
- Tableau dashboards and data sources
- A single source of truth across the company
- A team of data analysts producing quality outputs

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 (non-negotiable):
- Expert-level SQL
- Strong database design — relationships, indexing, normalization
- Python for automation and data processing
- Tableau — data sources, calculations, performance
- ETL/ELT pipeline experience
- Strong English (written and spoken)

𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿:
- 5–10+ years in data/analytics engineering or BI (hard requirement)
- Full data stack ownership: database pipeline BI
- Track record improving system performance and reliability
- Prior team leadership or oversight

You don't just understand data systems. You build them. You're comfortable owning everything from backend architecture to front-end reporting, and you take pride in clean, reliable infrastructure.
