What you'll do:

As an Accounting Associate, your main responsibility is providing full support the corporate finance team (external Australian Accountancy firm) by providing timely and accurate financial accounting information and analysis, enabling key stakeholders to make informed business decisions. You will handle and perform all end-to-end accounting duties with the use of Xero as your main accounting system.

You will directly report to two Australian Directors. You will be joining a close-knit team of professionals who value teamwork and a positive work environment and will have the chance to work with one of Australia's premier AV and Communications company. Travel and training opportunities are heavily available once you get considered for the role.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and send out monthly Account Statements to the customers via email.
  • Reminder emails to clients for overdue receivables
  • Month End: Assist with the month-end close procedures and group reporting
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset reporting
  • Monthly Payroll of staff
  • Preparation of the BAS, PAYG, IAS
  • Payroll reconciliations staff reimbursements, and credit cards
  • Budget: Assist in the Annual Budget and bi-annual forecast processes
  • Year-End & Audit: Assist with year-end close, interim, and year-end statutory audits and the preparation of the statutory annual report (with assistance from our external accountant)
  • Ad-Hoc: Provide ad-hoc administrative assistance as required by the team.

Successful candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Working background with using Xero accounting software.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong Excel and data collation skills (pivot tables, lookups). BI exposure/ knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and develop.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation and professional attitude.
  • Willingness to work-on-site Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
