About the job Software Engineer
Unleash Your Talents with Us!
Hi there, our future Software Engineer! Happy to see YOU here.
Here at Integrated OS, you'll be part of a team of passionate individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional offshoring services. Bringing in an array of skills and talents from different areas of business from Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Customer Service, and Marketing to Sales and Operations.
From humble beginnings, we have built our company from our first team member onwards. Initially, we were lending support to an Australian print manufacturer - The Lamson Group.
Since then, we have continued to uphold our core values and culture and developed a deeper understanding of how people need help to succeed in their goals. And YOU might be a part of this amazing growth as our team keeps growing above all expectations!
What you'll do:
As a Software Engineer, you will work across both legacy system support and the development of a modern platform rebuild. You will play a key role in ensuring business-critical systems remain stable while contributing to the future of the company's technology.
You will investigate and resolve issues, build new features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with both legacy codebases and modern frameworks, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and clean, maintainable code.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Legacy CRM Maintenance & Support
- Investigate and resolve bugs, data issues, and production incidents across the existing CRM.
- Deliver enhancements and small feature requests within the legacy CodeIgniter codebase.
- Write and optimise MySQL queries to support reporting, data integrity, and performance.
- Maintain integrations with third-party services (HubSpot, Microsoft Graph, AWS, Stripe, DocuSign).
New CRM Development
- Build new modules and features for the Laravel-based CRM rebuild as directed by the team lead.
- Develop RESTful APIs for internal consumption and external integrations.
- Create and maintain database migrations, seeders, and Eloquent models.
- Implement front-end components using React or other modern JavaScript libraries as required.
Quality & Collaboration
- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code with appropriate documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team coding standards.
- Collaborate with the UX/UI designer to implement user-friendly interfaces.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and technical recommendations clearly to the team.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Support deployment processes and Docker-based development environments.
- Maintain awareness of server configuration, AWS services, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure security best practices are followed across all code contributions.
Successful candidates must have:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in PHP development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Laravel (or a comparable modern PHP framework), including building Laravel APIs (REST/JSON, routing, authentication, versioning as applicable).
- Solid MySQL / relational database skills — query writing, schema design, indexing, and performance
tuning. - JavaScript proficiency — jQuery, vanilla JS, and modern JS (ES6+); familiarity with frontend frameworks or libraries such as Vue or React is a strong plus.
- Competence in HTML5, CSS3, and a CSS framework such as Bootstrap.
- UI/UX design experience is a plus but optional — not a requirement. We welcome candidates who already bring UI/UX awareness, are willing to learn, or have a genuine interest in thoughtful, user-centred interfaces.
- Experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Version control proficiency with Git (Bitbucket / Sourcetree preferred).
- Clear understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with third-party API integrations is highly regarded (HubSpot, AWS SDK, Microsoft Graph,
Stripe). - Familiarity with Docker, Linux server administration, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

- Work Setup: On-site - Be part of a collaborative and energetic team in a professional office environment.
