Specialist Geometric Engineer

SENIOR GEOMETRIC ENGINEER/TECHNOLOGIST

A dynamic Engineering Consulting Company in Cape Town and Johannesburg is looking for a Senior Geometric Design Engineer/Pr Eng to join their team!

Key requirements:

BEng or Bsc degree

Minimum of 8 years specific roads design experience

Preferably registered with ECSA as a Pr. Eng.

Proficient in Civil Designer, AutoCAD and Civil3D design software packages

CAD, preferably AutoCAD experience

COLTO, COTO advantageous

Site experience advantageous

Key responsibilities:

Doing geometric design of roads and drawing production standards of national and provincial authorities

Work with complex road projects involving freeway interchange design, major provincial roads, urban arterial roads, dual carriageways, major intersections, roundabouts, road marking, drainage etc

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, requiring co-ordination between discipline interfaces, such as, geotechnical, structures, materials, transportation, environmental etc.

Produce 3D visualization of road designs

Preparation of road infrastructure design reports

Preparation of tender documentation, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimates

Compliance with ISO standards of the company

Assisting in projects as required
