Purpose of the job: Reporting to Senior Manager: Human Capital Operations, the successful incumbent is accountable to manage and provide Human Capital generalist services (in the respective area) for the enablement of organisational goals as well as to ensure compliance with Human Capital Policies and Procedures.
Key Performance Areas
Policy review and implementation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of applicable policies, procedures and processes.
- Keep up to date with effective policy and practice execution strategies.
- Manage the consistent application of all Human Capital strategies, plans, frameworks, standards, policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of all Human Capital governance systems.
- Manage the Human Capital business operations and initiatives to ensure seamless integration.
Employee relations
- Ensure the effective delivery and implementation of employee relations related processes.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and management on labour related issues.
- Facilitate grievances resolutions.
- Drive the implementation of disciplinary and grievance procedures to ensure compliance with procedures and policies and to ensure consistency.
Organisational Effectiveness
- Drive the roll out and consistent application of organisational effectiveness activities in the respective areas.
- Coordinate, implement and provide guidance on performance and talent management processes.
- Provide support to processing centres on coordinate job profiles and job evaluation.
Learning and Development
- Coordinate the completion of PDP in line with the policy by the employees.
- Facilitate the identification of employee training and development needs on a regular basis.
- Monitor training interventions and ensure compliance.
- Participate in the analysis of training reports and make recommendations.
Human Capital Administration
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process and ensure compliance.
- Drive the onboarding and offboarding processes for both incoming and outgoing employees.
- Drive the provision of benefits and administration initiatives in the respective areas.
- Manage the compilation and safe keeping of employee personnel files.
- Drive and provide guidance on leave management.
Employee Wellness Services
- Contribute to and guide the implementation of EAP and wellness to ensure a safe working environment conducive for productivity.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit reports as and when required to provide progress updates and/or inform management decisions.
- Develop reports and documents in line with the overall Strategy.
- Develop functional reporting systems, for management, projects and or performance.
- Prepare proposals, briefings, presentations, submissions and any other documentation required to provide management with the necessary information.
Stakeholder management
- Facilitate and manage communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders to proactively and progressively manage the relationships.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers or procurement teams and ensure that all relevant procured items are invoiced and paid on time.
- Represent the Fund in relevant and related external activities and events.
People management
- Ensure sourcing, development and retention of a high-performance teams and talent.
- Manage the recruitment of the operational workforce in line with employment equity targets.
- Manage staff in the department to ensure that they achieve their objectives in line with the company strategic objectives.
- Manage the implementation of human capital processes and procedures to establish a highly controlled/regulated workplace to mitigate against workplace conflict and institute consultation processes and corrective measures where necessary. Allocate, direct, motivate and evaluate the team to help them in achieving their individual goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in a Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology related qualification.
- Postgraduate in a Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology related qualification will be an added advantage.
- Relevant 6-8 years experience in a Human Resource Management related environment of which 2 (two) years must have been on a management/supervisory level/area of expertise.
