Introduction:

Our client in the paper and plastics packaging and recycling business is looking for the Maintenance Supervisor to join their Team in Wadeville. As the Supervisor you will be responsible to ensure that shift efficiencies are achieved, as per the Company's measurable quality objectives and provide leadership to maintenance personnel on correct maintenance procedures and methods to ensure effective maintenance in operation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified artisan - minimum N5 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • GCC will be ab added advantage
  • Min 5 years experience in Plastics Manufacturing
  • At least 3 5 years working experience in the similar/same position

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that shift efficiencies are achieved, as per the Company's measurable quality objectives
  • Provide leadership to maintenance personnel on correct maintenance procedures and methods to ensure effective maintenance in operation.
  • Manage Preventative Maintenance program to ensure effective execution
  • Manage engineering spares from ordering to stocking in most efficient manner.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement Projects in the plant.
  • Design and improve processes to increase plant production efficiency and quality
  • Ensure that plant operations meet environmental and safety protocols in a cost-effective manner, stand as GMR 2 for the plant to ensure OSHACT compliance
  • Effective people development and management
  • Coordinate resource allocation of Artisans on maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Facilitate and support problem solving.
  • Ensure spares availability and lead the development of team goals.
  • Performance targets and shift budget with due reference to packaging plans and budgets.
