Job Overview
Our client within the public sector is seeking a suitably qualified Environmental Officer: Production to support aquaculture and food safety programmes.
The successful candidate will assist with environmental monitoring, food safety compliance, laboratory performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the effective implementation of aquaculture and food safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct monthly monitoring and auditing of food safety programmes and standards.

Monitor laboratory performance and quality control relating to aquaculture food safety programmes.

Analyse and manage food safety data and prepare reports.

Provide support to food safety-related project management activities.

Contribute to food safety awareness initiatives and stakeholder engagements.

Compile food safety risk assessments and develop mitigation measures.

Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations and legislation.

Compile and submit technical reports relating to aquaculture food safety.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health or

Diploma in Microbiology or equivalent qualification in a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety, aquaculture, environmental monitoring, or related laboratory environment.

Knowledge of food safety legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Experience in data analysis and project management.

Valid Drivers Licence (Code B / EB).
