Position Overview:
We are searching for a dependable Bilingual (Spanish) Office Assistant at Interlingva Inc. You will be assisting in providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the office. The ideal candidate will assist with administrative tasks, scheduling, and communication with clients and interpreters. This role requires excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently answer a multi-line phone system, ensuring that calls are directed appropriately and queries are addressed promptly.
- Proactively take and process interpreting requests received through various channels such as phone, fax, and email.
- Diligently maintain and organize documentation related to requests, assignments, and interpreter schedules. This includes ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Collaborate closely with the Interpreting Team, making certain they are informed about their schedules and any changes that might arise.
- Perform a variety of general office duties, such as faxing, scanning, and emailing. This includes managing and storing documents in an organized manner.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, managing a high volume of calls and emails with poise
- Comfortable with personal computers and standard office software. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is a must.
- Familiarity with computerized systems that manage client data and schedules.
- Ability to excel both under supervision and when working independently.
- Strong interpersonal capabilities, emphasizing clear telephone communication and active listening.
- Demonstrated experience with professional email and phone etiquette.
- Ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds, like office supplies or packages.
- A track record of reliability, punctuality, and commitment.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day Shift
- Monday-Friday
- No weekends
Ability to Commute:
- Sacramento, CA 95814 (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
