About the Role:
We are excited to invite you to join our camp as a Biology Counselor, where youll inspire campers to explore the wonders of the natural world and the life sciences. In this role, you will lead interactive and educational activities that make biology fun and engaging, from hands-on experiments to outdoor explorations of ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct engaging biology workshops and activities tailored to different age groups.
  • Teach fundamental concepts in biology, including plant and animal life, ecosystems, human anatomy, and more.
  • Organize outdoor activities like nature walks, field studies, and ecosystem exploration.
  • Lead hands-on experiments and science projects that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with campers to create science displays, posters, or presentations for camp events.
  • Ensure all activities prioritize safety while fostering a fun and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work with other counselors to integrate biology themes into the overall camp program.
  • Act as a mentor and role model, inspiring enthusiasm for science and discovery.

Qualifications:

  • Background in biology, life sciences, or a related field (academic or practical experience).
  • Passion for teaching and the ability to explain scientific concepts in an accessible way.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to lead engaging activities.
  • Previous experience working with youth or in an educational setting is preferred.
  • A love for the outdoors and enthusiasm for fostering curiosity about nature.
