Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to join our team as NDIS Bookkeeper & Social Media Assistant. This crucial dual role requires a strong understanding of NDIS funding, compliance, and financial processes, coupled with a creative flair for managing our online presence and fostering community. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records for our NDIS participants/providers, ensuring timely payments, and building a vibrant community through our social media channels.

Key Responsibilities:

NDIS Bookkeeping & Financial Management

  • Perform comprehensive bookkeeping duties, including daily bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
  • Process invoices, track expenses, and manage payments specific to NDIS funding (Plan-Managed, Self-Managed, Agency-Managed).
  • Reconcile books regularly to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Identify claimable expenses in line with NDIS guidelines and participant plans.
  • Prepare and process NDIS claims, ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines and pricing arrangements.
  • Compile and track unpaid invoices, proactively identifying outstanding balances.
  • Contact Plan Managements and NDIS participants directly to follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any payment discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures and generate financial reports.

Social Media Management (SMM) & General Administrative Support:

  • Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) relevant to the NDIS community and our services.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and foster positive community engagement.
  • Perform Friend Farming (FF) activities, strategically building and nurturing online connections to expand our network and reach within the NDIS community.
  • Assist in creating basic graphic design elements and visually appealing content for social media posts.
  • Maintain awareness of social media trends and NDIS news to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.
  • Track social media metrics and provide insights on performance to enhance reach and engagement.
  • Provide general virtual administrative assistance as needed, including data entry and document organization.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with a demonstrable understanding and hands-on experience with NDIS funding and compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero (highly preferred), QuickBooks Online, or MYOB.
  • Solid experience in Social Media Management, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability in "Friend Farming" or strategically building online professional relationships.
  • High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail in all financial and administrative tasks, including invoicing and data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach, especially when contacting clients or plan managers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines for both financial and social media responsibilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple responsibilities, and collaborate effectively within a remote team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and comfortable with cloud-based collaboration tools.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent command of business English.
  • A relevant qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration is highly regarded.
