Are you experienced in designing Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes for Australian projects? Ironbrij is looking for a skilled AU Traffic Management Designer to join our growing team and support major traffic management operations across New South Wales, Australia. If you have a strong understanding of traffic management standards, permits, and compliance requirements, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, amend, and maintain Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs) and Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) in accordance with legislation, company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and manage ROLs (Road Occupancy Licences), permits, and other relevant approvals within required timelines.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records for permit applications, submissions, approvals, and renewals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, councils, and regulatory road authorities.
  • Ensure all traffic management plans comply with Road Authority requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Communicate operational requirements effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Assist in implementing traffic management strategies for major projects and contracts.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Current PWZTMP (Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management Plans) qualification.
  • Proven experience creating site-specific traffic management drawings using Invarion Rapid Software.
  • Strong understanding of the Traffic Control at Worksites Manual.
  • Experience with permit applications, ROLs, and council approval processes.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and smartphone-based applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment.

Preferred

  • Previous experience supporting traffic management projects within Australia, particularly NSW.
  • Experience working with Tier 1 infrastructure or construction projects.
