Our client requires the services of an Operations Engineer (Senior) - Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• A university degree/diploma in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences) or a comparable qualification or 5 years IT experience

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• VMWare Workspace One (UEM & Access) Advanced
• Microsoft Intune - Intermediate
• At least one OS /device platform (iOS, AOSP, Windows, MacOS, Linux) - Advanced
• Microsoft technologies - Advanced
• Active Directory
• Azure Active Directory (EntraID)
• SCCM
• GPO
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash etc.) - Intermediate
• Apple technologies - Basic to Intermediate
• Device enrollment process
• App Notarization
• Exposure to troubleshooting infrastructure, network and integration issues
• Experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Change and Problem management)
• Plan and execute maintenance tasks (change management)
• Plan and execute infrastructure lifecycle tasks (technical lifecycle, change management)
• Resolve incident tickets
• Analyse and resolve problem tickets
• Experience with technical documentation and standard operating procedures
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

ADVANTAGEOUS TECHNICAL SKILLS

• German Language
• Experience in operation of Linux Servers and/or Windows Servers
• Experience with cloud technologies and cloud providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Services)
• Experience with monitoring solutions (SCOM, Dynatrace, Site24/7 etc.)
• Experience with SQL (MS, Oracle etc.)
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Soft Skills
• Excellent communication skills in a clear a concise way with team members, stakeholders and management on an appropriate level of detail
• Ability to deliver on time and in excellent quality
• Strong ability to analyse issues, build a resolution plan and bring it to successful implementation
• Strong ability to understand technical dependencies and enterprise setup on a global scale

ROLE:

• Responsible for planning, documenting, defining, and evaluating technical integration information for major systems, and related components.
• Be responsible for the verification, planning and actioning of maintenance tasks together with other infrastructure teams
• Assists with defining and documenting technology platforms and dependencies for multiple environments (test/integration and production).
• Understands and monitors impacts to and dependencies between existing technical and network environments and continuously works on improving the operational stability
• Work on automation of platform operations, troubleshooting and maintenance topics
• Interact with an international product team, external providers, vendors and customers.
• Treat security as a first-class citizen
• Work closely with stakeholders, development teams in constantly improving our Endpoint Management platforms stability and availability
• Work with other IT teams on integration of new features and components
