Service Engineer Diesel Engine

1. Requirements

Excellent knowledge about different type of diesel engines (High speed, medium speed & Low speed)

Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting and diagnostic test to different type of diesel engines from different engine makers

At least Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or similar

Minimum 6 years working experience with Engine makers or Marine/Offshore/Power Generation Industry preferably

Preferably someone with experience on other mechanical equipment repairing such as Gearboxes, Pumps, Valves, CPP, thruster.

Good in English speaking and report writing

Able to travel frequently

Any Nationality

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Good team player with good attitude, integrity, interpersonal, organization and time management skills

Reference companies (Marine or Offshore Industry & Power Plant)

2. Job Responsibility

Perform inspection, installation, repair, upgrading, troubleshooting and overhaul of diesel engine for Marine, Offshore and Power generation.

Communicate with superior and technicians for briefing of service related works

Prepare necessary service report, ISO work instructions, risk assessment and checklist for all works

Ensure all testing and monitoring equipment /instruments are identified and maintained in good order at all times

Report and document the activities carried out in line with the ISO standards and company requirements

Reading and interpreting drawings, manuals and code specifications

Manage assign projects, job control, estimation, supervision, co-ordination of labor force etc.

Liaise with customers and class, agents and other involved parties as well as departments, sales staff etc. during repair projects from sales/enquiry stage through to completed project.
