Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in the same field ( Shipbuilding , Ship repair or Marine industry ).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal & written communication
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Working experience with relevant software
  • Knowledge of Transport management
  • Knowledge of distribution, warehousing, and storage operations
  • A strategic and analytical mind
  • Education: Professional/vocational/technical qualification in a relevant field
  • Age: 25 years or above

Responsibilities:

  • Review and update supply chain practices by new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
  • Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
  • Planning delivery timetables
  • Ensuring stores have enough stock
  • Making sure suppliers have enough stock to meet the demand
  • Overseeing the ordering and packaging process
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Tracking products through depots to make sure they arrive at their destination
  • Overseeing the arrival of shipments
