About the job Nurse Supervisor Coordinator of Dietology & Nutrition
The Nurse Supervisor – Coordinator of Dietology & Nutrition is a key member of the hospital clinical management team whose primary role is to oversee the nursing care provided in the Out Patient Clinics and all inpatients services, has 24/7 responsibility for the clinical care of patients and operation of the clinics, manages Enrolled Nurses, Assistant Nursing Officers and Nursing Officers. Plans, directs and coordinates medical and health services. Sets and carries out policies, goals, and procedures for the department and evaluates the quality of the staff’s work. Develops reports and budgets for the area. Assures that the needs of the patients and doctors in the Clinics and associated areas are met, resulting in excellent outcomes. Serves as acting Head Nurse as assigned. The incumbent will ensure transparency in all matters pertaining to facility.
Education and Experience profile:
- B.Sc. degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University essential
- Post Basic Diploma in Nutrition/Dietology preferred
- Registred at Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council
- Minimum 8 years as Registered Nurse in In-Patient wards
- At least 2 years as Senior Nursing Officer
